The NTSB is investigating after yesterday's deadly plane crash in Galveston. Their investigation will focus on three key areas.

Photos released by the NTSB Saturday show the aftermath of a plane crash that took the lives of NASCAR legend Greg Biffle and his family.

After a plane plunged into Galveston Bay during heavy fog, islanders rushed to help, rescuing survivors from the wreckage.

According to Sky Decker, one of the rescuers, the survivor’s legs were broken, and she repeatedly asked about a baby on the plane.

Galveston police have confirmed a small airplane carrying six passengers crashed Monday afternoon into the water near Galveston Bay. The crash occurred around 3:15 p.m. west of the Galveston causeway, according to a Galveston Police Department spokesperson.

"The initial point of impact was a runway light stanchion located about 1,800 feet from the runway threshold," said Senior Air Safety Investigator Dan Baker. "The airplane subsequently impacted trees, two other runway light stanchions and the airport perimeter fence short of the runway threshold before coming to rest near the runway threshold."
